Baeni Jeong — Trigger: Exploring the Mechanisms of Rubber Band Guns
*First Solo Exhibition* March 14–25, 2025 11:00–19:00 openARTs space MERGE?, Busan, South Korea
Mar 27, 2025

In his debut solo exhibition, Baeni Jeong explores the aesthetics and mechanics of rubber band guns. Familiar from childhood, these objects are reimagined as elegant kinetic sculptures, blending motion, sound, and material diversity.

The artist uses blueprints from various sources and develops his own original designs. He dreams of founding a rubber band gun museum — and this exhibition marks the first step toward that goal.

Visitors can not only view but also interact with the rubber band guns: experience the click of the trigger, the smooth spin of the rotor, and the unique feel of each piece. When the artist is present, even more models are available to try.
